-Imaging the limbs as a stack of objects (upper arm, lower arm, hand)rather than a continuous object. This helps maintain the structure of the limb while making it easier to imagine the relations of the parts in three dimensions.
-look at your own limbs, preferably in a mirror, and draw from them. This is an invaluable asset for all aspects of drawing the figure.
You didn't ask for tips, but they're what I want, so they're what I give. Golden rule and all that.
